Terms of Service for Meeting Alarm
Last updated: June 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Meeting Alarm ("the app," "we," "us," or "our"), a Windows desktop application published by Atomic Design Studios. By downloading, installing, or using Meeting Alarm, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Meeting Alarm, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Meeting Alarm is a Windows desktop application that connects to your Google Calendar and/or Microsoft Outlook account to read your upcoming calendar events and fire fullscreen alarms before those events begin. The app is a convenience tool designed to help you stay aware of your schedule.
3. No Guarantee of Alarm Delivery
Meeting Alarm is provided as a scheduling aid only. It does not guarantee that any alarm will fire.
Alarm delivery depends on factors outside our control, including but not limited to:
- Your device being powered on and not in a state that prevents the app from running
- Your operating system's power management settings, sleep/hibernate settings, and background app restrictions
- Your calendar accounts being connected and syncing successfully
- Hardware and software compatibility on your specific device
- Third-party service availability (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook)
You are solely responsible for managing your own schedule and meeting attendance. Do not rely exclusively on Meeting Alarm to ensure you attend meetings. Always maintain independent awareness of your calendar obligations.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Atomic Design Studios is not liable for any missed meetings, lost business opportunities, financial losses, reputational harm, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Meeting Alarm or from any failure of the app to deliver an alarm.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
- In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Meeting Alarm is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs or defects.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Meeting Alarm requires a paid subscription to use. Subscriptions are managed and billed exclusively through the Microsoft Store:
- Monthly subscription: $2.79/month
- Annual subscription: $14.99/year
All billing, payment processing, refunds, and cancellations are handled by Microsoft under its own terms and policies. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. To cancel your subscription, manage it through the Microsoft Store or your Microsoft account settings.
7. Calendar Access
Meeting Alarm connects to your Google Calendar and/or Microsoft Outlook account with read-only access. The app cannot create, edit, or delete any calendar events. Your calendar data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent the subscription paywall or licensing system
- Distribute or resell the app without authorization
9. Intellectual Property
Meeting Alarm and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by Atomic Design Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal or professional use on your own devices.
10. Third-Party Services
Meeting Alarm connects to Google and Microsoft services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms:
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of those third-party services.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
